About the role

We are looking for a talented I.T. generalist, who has a desire to learn new technologies and support a diverse development environment. We have a number of technologies that are being engaged across our ecosystem, which you will need to learn well enough to be able to support their function. This includes several enterprise coding languages, CI/CB platform development, linux server administration, IaaS cloud admin, and more. You should have a solid grasp of basic network technologies such as addressing, routing, firewalls, and protocols.

You will need to demonstrate your uncanny ability to pick up technology quickly. You should have tinkered with many different types of  web technologies in the past, and be able to demonstrate full-stack knowledge of a few different stacks. You should be able to code effectively in a few different languages and demonstrate that ability.

You will be in high-demand, so self-management and emotional intelligence is critical. Good communication skills must include the ability to be forthright and proactive in communicating with team members about tasks, work assigned, and progress.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform routine server maintenance on IaaS cloud instances and networking
  • Work with developers to create infrastructure for rapid ALM in Agile development.
  • Provide support for and development of rapid environment refreshes, clones, and upgrades.
  • Develop scripting in Powershell, Python, and Kotlin for systems task automation.
  • Work independently on complex systems integration tasks
  • Maintain work in kanban style project management, participating in the Agile sprint cycles.
  • Working with the following technologies/frameworks: Kotlin, Java, Spring, Javascript, Git, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in basic web technologies (HTML, CSS, web accessibility protocols/standards)
  • Good experience in each technology in a full stack i.e. database, web server, middleware, front-end.
  • Good understanding of core CI/CB technologies and practices.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good critical-thinking and independent thinking skills.
